Purpose: Provide year-round educational oppurtunites to all members. The Professional Development & Education (PD&E) Committee shall function as an education and development resource to members by providing educational webinars & podcasts, access to a rich portfolio of professional speakers and to valuable engagement through educational initiatives.

Purpose: The Strategic Planning Committee shall be responsible for developing common
criteria that NAWIC leaders and members use to make decisions and allocate resources. The goal of this committee is to unite NAWIC in a common vision so it can operate in a focused, strategic manner.

Purpose: The Marketing Committee is focused on several key initiatives to strengthen NAWIC’s communication, education, and brand recognition.
1. Communication: Establishing a strong communication foundation by building a consistent cadence for regional and local networks. This includes fostering a unified dialogue to enhance marketing efforts across the NAWIC footprint.
2. Education: Providing marketing training for each region during this term, along with resources, tools, materials, and guidance to support new member onboarding and continued education.
3. Brand Recognition: Promoting brand consistency and developing leadership to sustain and amplify the NAWIC message across all chapters.
These initiatives aim to create a cohesive marketing strategy that enhances member engagement and elevates the visibility of NAWIC’s mission and values.

Purpose: The Sunshine Committee exists to foster a culture of care, positivity, and connection by celebrating the special moments in our members’ lives. Our purpose is to recognize and acknowledge milestones—both personal and professional—that bring joy and pride to our industry.
We aim to brighten the workplace by offering thoughtful gestures for occasions such as promotions, weddings, new babies, awards, and other significant life events. Through these celebrations, the Sunshine Committee promotes camaraderie, appreciation, and a sense of belonging that strengthens our shared commitment to one another.

Purpose: This committee is dedicated to fostering collaboration, sharing innovative ideas, and encouraging active participation in WIC Week. Through its efforts, the committee aims to unite and empower women in construction, creating a strong network of support within the industry.

Purpose: This committee is dedicated to fostering collaboration, sharing innovative ideas, and encouraging active participation in Block Kids.
The Block Kids Program introduces children to the construction industry in an effort to create an awareness of and to promote an interest in future careers in one of the many facets of the industry. During a Block Kids competition, the participants have 40 minutes to an hour to construct a project using approved building blocks and materials. The competition is open to all K-6 students, allowing each student to learn that building and construction is an option for any gender.

Purpose: The strategic focus for the National Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Committee is
Empowerment and Advocacy. We aim to enhance leadership training, amplify women’s voices, and foster partnerships that support women in the AEC industry. By hosting educational webinars, increasing participation in DEI awards, and developing comprehensive resources, we strive to elevate NAWIC as a leader in creating a more inclusive and equitable construction industry. We invite all members to join us in this mission, actively contributing to a culture of belonging and empowerment for women.
